What We Do

Medical Malpractice Defense
We provide medical malpractice defense to hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and health care providers throughout the state of Florida offering presuit screenings, trial practice and appellate litigation. Hill, Adams, Hall & Schieffelin defended its first medical malpractice case in 1978.

Non-medical Hospital Liability Exposure Defense
In addition to providing medical malpractice defense, we offer counsel for complex issues including antitrust/restraint of trade, medical staff disputes, civil rights claims and general and product liability.

Risk and Liability Management Counsel
We provide counsel regarding numerous complicated risk and liability management issues such as the withdrawal of life support, DNR situations, patient confidentiality, COBRA and AIDS. In addition, we provide counsel regarding sentinel event reporting, Code 15 reporting and Medical Device Act reporting.

DOH Actions/Regulatory board representation
We represent health care providers in all stages of disciplinary actions before Florida's Department of Health.
